Bringing tech to life – maximising exposure using referenceable customer stories

CHALLENGE

Having had outstanding success in the US, one of America’s fastest-growing SaaS companies, BounceX, wanted to replicate this success by increasing brand awareness in the UK market.

BounceX is an international marketing channel that orchestrates real-time, multichannel marketing programmes customised for the individual behind each device. Fuelled by a robust identification cloud, BounceX can impact triggered email performance and website personalisation at worldly scale which contributes significant growth from a new channel for retailers.

Having raised over $44.9 million in funding from proven firms like Battery Ventures, Cross Creek Advisors and Primary Ventures, in 2018 BounceX partnered with over 15 new major retail clients, including Heal’s, Sonos and Champion.

Objectives

  • Boost brand awareness for BounceX in the UK via targeted press coverage, delivered in core media titles as read by their prospects
  • Position BounceX as an expert in its field, elevating its messaging and content around best practice in personalisation and the benefits these solutions can deliver to retailers through AI and machine learning – designed to engage and inspire prospects, influencers, current clients (engendering loyalty) and potential employees
  • Raise the profile of BounceX’s key spokespersons by placement of by-lined thought leadership articles and commentary in the press
  • Leverage customer case studies and awards to drive ‘referenceability’ within the market and the media, showcasing what BounceX’s solution can deliver to retailers
  • Drive web traffic from 3rd party media websites on to BounceX owned web platforms to move prospects along the sales funnel / encourage content engagement to contribute to lead scored MQLs

STRATEGY

Fieldworks devised a tactical campaign using BounceX’s customer case studies to generate brand awareness and deliver PR coverage in target trade media as read by event visitors, senior retail decision makers and prospects.

By using customer testimonials within carefully drafted press releases, Fieldworks was able to create compelling stories, which were able to carry weight with both journalists and prospects.

By having BounceX’s customers featured in the media, Fieldworks were able to create referenceability, acting as a proof point and deliver persuasive news generation content to capturing the media’s attention and driving exposure for the tech provider.
